The courses

Le Gekko, bed and breakfast (chambre d’hotes), is ideally situated, close to the beach of Cabannes de Fleury, the Aude and Orb valleys and the Gorges of the Herault.

Jean will welcome you to this lovingly restored winery situated in the historic and picturesque village of Lespignan.

The courses last between 2 and 7 days and take place in the heart of the Languedoc village at the winery which has its own kitchen garden.

The courses, while teaching you a variety of techniques and methods are designed to inspire a relaxed approach to cooking. The courses are in French or English with a chef who has run gastronomic restaurants in France and England.

Maximum 4 students per course.

The Gekko has 3 comfortable and spacious double rooms each with an ensuite.

Our activities

Cooking lessons

The courses are tailor made to your level and your requirements. We work with high quality products sourced from reputable local suppliers, farmers and fishermen.
Depending on the season we try to source as many of the fruit, vegetables and herbs from our own kitchen garden.
The choice of wine will also be made to compliment the dishes prepared in the lessons.
As well as concentrating on the flavour the lessons will also bring particular attention to the presentation of the dishes.
The possibility to work on techniques such as wood stove cooking can also be made available according to requirements.
